My first EVER workout class

Kerr-Ann and Tracey got together to create the two free fitness classes every week at The Forum in Northallerton (Wednesday evenings 7pm & Thursday Mornings 10.30am) and it was only correct that I joined in especially after inviting guests to meet me there.

I knew and understood working out/exercise was excellent for health and wellbeing and I consistently recommended doing it to my team members and customers but wasn't leading by example so here I am at my very first class which just happened to be an INSANITY WORKOUT wow I Felix it after. Probably because I didn't own a pair of trainers so all the jumping about  on my sock covered feet didn't help my muscles.

Visceral Fats and BMI…….

So here are some of the wonderful facts and knowledge I can now share due to my passion and understanding of nutrition.  Again many of us will say "obvious!"  But we hear it and often don't listen, we still don't drink enough water and continue to eat the wrong foods (or I used to).   Not any more!!!

I will begin with - Why is our BMI often wrong?……..

So how do we tell if we are the correct size, weight and healthy????

Herbalife have taught me to use Tanita Scales.  These give you a number of readings including your metabolic age, the rate your body works at, weight, fat %, water, visceral fats and more……..

On a normal fad diet you will see your water doesn't improve, your visceral fats stay the same or even get worse and your muscle drops without losing fat%.

On Herbalife you will notice everything works in the correct direction because we are focusing on your protein levels which feed your muscles.

Visceral Fat is essential to track as this is the fat around your organs such as heart, liver, pancreas and intestines.  It is sometimes known as active fat because research has shown that this type of fat plays a distinctive and potentially dangerous role affecting how our hormones function. 

It is important to define the difference between visceral fat and subcutaneous fat.  Subcutaneous fat is the fat that we store just under our skin, such as the fat we may be able to feel on our arms and legs.  The visceral fat cells are larger than subcutaneous fat cells and function completely differently by setting off your hormone (Cytokines) which creates tumour growth, ageing, oxidation, cardiovascular disease and so many more including glucose intolerance, IBS and type 2 diabetes.  A growing belly can be the result of both types of fat.  

A slim and healthy person can have high visceral fats if their diet has a lot of sugar in.  Even a normal breakfast can be feeding visceral fats as most breakfast cereals are filled with sugar.

To reduce your dangerous fats around your organs you need to focus on vegetables which are a good fibre, swap your mash, chips and pasta for brown rice, quinoa and sweet potatoes.  Snack on high protein foods such as nuts, add fish into your diet and cut down on the alcohol.

All obvious but do we do it?  Herbalife products all provide everything we need to cut your visceral fats without the expense and time of cooking large meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It has changed my life and now I would like to help you………

Kick Off 2015

Every Year Herbalife Celebrate the start of a fresh year with a huge event.  This year we travelled to Telford for two days and it was magical.

The training we got was unbelievable but the atmosphere completely amazing!  Over 2000 people attended and the place was literally bouncing!

This is Kerri-Anne's Cousin and I.  We both went on stage together to receive our recognition for becoming supervisors in the business.  It really was an event not to be missed and I am already planning the next event which is Barcelona in September.

Learning all of the time

I am learning about nutrition and the reasons for our cravings and bad habits all of the time.

Herbalife isn't just helping me live a healthier life it is teaching me why and the reasons for doing so.

We all know most of what is being taught to us and some may say "yes that is obvious", but keeping it front of mind and learning it over and over really helps to maintain the healthy living 24/7.

We are made of 60-70% water and without at least 2 litres a day you will feel thirsty.  Many of us think this feeling is hunger and therefore eat mindlessly when a drink of water would have done the trick.

I used to drink a small glass of water a day if I was being good, I also used to drink at least four cups of tea or coffee thinking this would help with my liquid intake.  In fact it does the opposite.  I should have been drinking an extra 2 glasses of water for every tea or coffee consumed!

I now drink NO tea or coffee at all only Herbalife Tea and 2-4 litres of water EVERY DAY!!

Our First Northallerton Meeting

We had a wonderful turn out at our first ever Northallerton Herbalife Event at The Forum in Northallerton tonight which began at 7pm.

Darren Crookes joined us as our guest speaker and totally blew us all away with his story, enthusiasm, love of the products and training.  He has been in the business 6 years and is now in the Millionaire Team.

In Herbalife you are never alone, whether your just enjoying the products or chose to recommend them to others,  the support, constant meetings, free training and advice is priceless not to mention the amazing recognition you receive every time you reach another goal.
